Game Audio & Visuals
  • Game music/soundtrack only plays beta music
  • All sounds replaced with beta sounds or removed entirely if it isn't in beta
  • All textures have been reverted back to their Beta 1.7.3 texture/model
  • Specifically, cobblestone and bricks have been reverted to pre b1.7
  • Dropped items appear as 2D sprites always facing the player (CREDIT: DarkCat25) Currently broken after 1.20.4, working on fix
  • Lower cloud height (CREDIT: Fayer3) (if on fabric, just change cloud height to 96 in your video settings > extras > cloud height)
  • Beta sky colors & large night stars skybox (CREDIT: Sencie) (requires optifine or fabric equivalent mods)
  • OPTIONAL: for extra visual enhancements we suggest you download Beta Continuum (java only, requires optifine or equivalent fabric mods)
World
  • Beta overworld terrain generation
  • Beta nether terrain generation
  • End dimension removed
  • Build Y limits have reverted to Y 0-127.
Player Systems
  • Hunger bar has been removed and replaced with the armor bar.
  • All armor material types provide max armor protection
  • Armor protection decreases with durability. (example: leather armor and diamond armor both fill the armor bar but the leather armor will break and not be as effective quicker. A 50% damaged leather chest pieces protects half as much as a new one)
  • Buckets, Doors, signs, and food items (except cookies) do not stack.
  • Modern day achievements removed, replaced with beta 1.7.3 achievements
Mobs
  • All mobs added after beta 1.7.3 are removed.
  • Mobs spawn at light level 7 and below again instead of 0.
  • No animal breeding.
  • Updated mob pathing to allow for iconic bouncing/jumping of b1.7.3
  • Zombies
    • Do not turn into drowned.
    • Now floats in water
    • No longer call for reinforcements
    • Beta damage, movement speed, and health
    • No longer drops rotten flesh, just feathers
  • Skeletons
    • Now floats in water
    • Have conquered their fear of Wolves
    • Slower arrows
    • Arrows shoot from above their head
    • No longer strafe side to side or backwards
  • Creepers
    • Continue to follow their target even when fuse is lit.
    • When killed by a skeleton, only drops disc 13 and cat (only those two exist)
  • Spider
    • Updated Spider damage, movement speed, and health
    • No longer drop spider eyes, only string
  • Zombified Piglins
    • Now resemble Zombie Pigman.
    • No longer call reinforcements
    • Updated movement speed and health
    • No longer drop rotten flesh or gold, just cooked pork chops!
  • Ghasts
    • Ghasts are not damaged by their fireballs; must be killed by melee or bow.
    • Don't drop any loot
  • Wolves
    • No longer attack Sheep or Skeletons
    • Can't dye dog collar
  • Sheep
    • No longer follow players holding Wheat
    • No longer eat grass (which also means they don't regrow their wool)
    • No longer drop mutton, just wool.
  • Chicken
    • No longer follow players holding Seeds
    • No longer drops chicken, just feathers
  • Cows
    • No longer follow players holding Wheat
    • No longer drops steak, just leather
  • Squid
    • Squids spawn in any sky-exposed water blocks, not biome-specific.
Gameplay
  • Players cannot sprint.
  • Air/bubble bar instantly fills instead of slowly regenerating when out of water
  • Combat delay removed, spam click away!
  • Critical hits removed
  • All non-sword items deal 2 damage.
  • Weapon damages adjusted
    • Wood/Gold Sword: 5
    • Stone Sword: 7
    • Iron Sword: 9
    • Diamond Sword: 11
    • Arrow: 4
  • Bows shoot instantly without durability loss.
  • Sleeping in areas where mobs can spawn will give the player a nightmare.
  • Bed spawn point can only be set at night (when you enter a bed), instead of anytime just right clicking it
  • Water stops fall damage only if 2 blocks deep.
  • Only default 2x3 portals can be made.
  • Double slab transmutation bug reintroduced.
  • Wool transmutation bug reintroduced.
  • Boats travel at beta speed, yes, even on ice.
  • Only one player per vehicle (boats).
  • Boats float to the surface when underwater
  • Boats can't got in reverse
  • Boats will match the players' yaw rotation when entered so boat bridges are possible
  • Boats can be placed on walls and floors without restrictions of needing space
  • Old techniques to break nether roof bedrock with pistons work again!
  • Piston glitches to make floating piston heads, headless pistons and all side piston head blocks work again!
  • Sand/gravel (gravity blocks) dupe exploit using sticky piston brough back. (only dupe allowed on the server cause I'd prefer it over destroyed beaches)
  • Players can exit vehicles by right-clicking on them.
  • Fishing only catches normal fish (current day cod).
  • No fishing indicators telling you when a fish is coming
  • No XP gained from killing, mining, or smelting.
  • Certain particles removed (e.g., critical, splash, dripping).
  • Zombie pigman will no longer randomly spawn near portals in the overworld
  • Non-player entities will no longer go through portals
  • Minecarts decrease their velocity when exited by a player
  • Removed dying signs
  • Creepers can't be forced ignited with flint and steel
  • Shears only work on leaf blocks and sheep
  • Beehives don't spawn on trees grown around flowers
  • Left click interactions for Lever, Stone Button, Oak Door, and Oak Trapdoor
  • Arrows cannot trigger wooden pressure plates, but can hold them down if already activated
  • Lava buckets used as furnace fuel burns up the bucket too, no empty bucket left over after use.
  • Removed Herobrine
Blocks + Items
  • All blocks, items, and recipes not present in Beta 1.7.3 have been removed.
  • Old beta recipes have been reinstated.
  • Names of blocks and items have been reverted to their beta versions (e.g., Poppy -> Rose).
  • Blocks no longer waterlog.
  • Flowers grown in darkness with bonemeal will pop/destroy.
  • Flowers are always centered and not randomly offset
  • Wood slabs no longer burn.
  • Dispensers only projectile shoot snowballs, eggs, and arrows; other items drop as items.
  • Stairs can only be placed right side up; no corner stairs.
  • Slabs can only be placed as bottom halves or double slabs.
  • Buttons can't be placed on ceilings, floors, and pistons
  • Levers can't be placed on ceilings and pistons.
  • Placed leaves decay; hiding wood logs nearby prevents decay.
  • Leaves only drop saplings (6.25% chance); apples are only found in dungeon chests.
  • Logs only have a vertical orientation.
  • Certain items appear larger in hand or when thrown (e.g., sugar, cactus).
  • Stripped logs and path blocks can no longer be made.
  • Bonemeal only grows short grass, roses, and dandelions on grass.
  • Bonemeal instantly grows crops and saplings
  • Iron and gold ore drop ore blocks, not raw iron/gold items.
  • Dead bush doesn't drop sticks.
  • Chests appear as full blocks.
  • Chests can't be placed next to each other
  • Two single chests next to each other force become double, even if facing different directions
  • Farmland tramples just by walking on it, unless you know the fence trick ;)
  • Dropped items are no longer 3D, but instead 2D sprites
  • Fences only attach to other fences, not blocks.
  • Sugarcane does not place on sand, only dirt/grass blocks
  • Soul sand in water does not create a bubble elevator
  • Rails are washed away by water spreading
  • Can't place string
  • Brown/red mushrooms have no limit to their spread in darkness
  • Sugar Cane can only be placed on Dirt/Grass Blocks
